                               RESOLUTION NO. 18729
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF
                   PUBLIC WORKS TO HIRE GEC, INC. RELATIVE TO
                   GEOLOGIC/GEOTECHNICAL/GEOHYDROLOGIC SERVICES
                   FOR PROPOSED EXPANSION OF THE SUMMIT
                   LANDFILL FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY
                   THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00).
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Department of Public Works,
       Streets and Airports be and is hereby authorized to hire GEC, 
Inc.
       to perform various services including a hydrogeological report 
for
       the necessary drilling, boring and analytical tests involved for
       proposed expansion of the Summit Landfill for an amount not to
       exceed $50,000.00, which amount will be paid out of Fund No. 
3124,
       Landfill Reserve Fund.
